Daniels is reported to have reported departures from Politico to MSNBC. It comes after the White House announces that the WHCA will no longer be able to decide whether to obtain privileged access to the briefing room and the White House. According to Fox News.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained that the Trump administration is “trying to empower people” reading and watching news television shows.

“For generations, working journalists who have chosen to lead the White House Correspondents Association board have consistently expanded WHCA membership and its pool rotation to create new and emerging outlets. It encouraged the inclusion,” added Daniels.
“The White House did not raise its head to the WHCA committee or discuss today's announcement,” Daniels added.
The report reportedly reported Daniels' withdrawal from Politico and a move to MSNBC is due to MSNBC recently fired Joy Reid.
