Federal workers fired by the Trump administration have adjusted their sit-ins Protest Against government cuts before they are thrown out to cause chaos.
President Donald Trump has accused Elon Musk of leading the government of efficacy to reduce waste, fraud and abuse in federal spending. Critics accused the workers passed by Congress of inappropriately fired and cut funds.
“Now I don't know what to do. And I cried every day. I think that's normal.”
On Tuesday, some of the fired workers protested the cuts by gathering in Senator Hart's building in Washington, D.C., to stand up to the senators.
Dozens of protesters were crammed into the lobby of Alaska Republican Sen. Lisa Markovsky's office, but were eventually thrown out by security. They also tried to enter the district office of Republican Sen. John Tune, in South Dakota, but were pushed out by staff.
“It was an emotional roller coaster. Like I said, I came to USAID with the intention of staying there as much as I could.
“And now, I don't know what to do,” she added. “And I've been crying every day. I think that's normal. I have a 15 month old kid at home. I look at him and think, 'What is this country where we live now?'
