On Wednesday, Trump logged in to his true social account to push back rumours of friction between certain cabinet members and musks working in partnership with the Government Efficiency (DOGE) to eradicate government waste, fraud and overexpenditure.
“All Cabinet members are very pleased with Elon,” Trump writes about the true society. “The media will see it at this morning's cabinet meeting!!!”
During the Cabinet meeting, Musk was asked by reporters whether he was particularly unelected as an unelected employee, and was unhappy with the fact that he was included in so many initiatives in the new administration.
“Are there anyone who's unhappy with Elon? If so, we'll throw them out from here,” Trump said. “They have a lot of respect for Elon and he does this. And some a bit opposed. But I'll tell you the majority of the matter, I think not only is everyone happy, but they're excited.”
Musk spoke about Doge's goal of reducing the deficit during the meeting, warning that the US could “virtually go bankrupt” if sufficient cuts were not made.
“That's why I'm here. By the way, I've got a lot of Flak and a lot of death threats,” Musk said.
It's only 37 days since Trump regained the White House. Nevertheless, Doge is already saving $65 billion to the US federal government, according to estimates. Musk previously expressed support for paying a “$5,000” dividend to US citizens.
However, given the steadily increasing amount of government cache stored, it is unclear whether the money distributed to Americans will exceed another $5,000, that is, if the dividend proposal is approved.
