Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith appears to have agreed to Florida Governor Ron de Santis' stance on paying annual property taxes.
Desantis spoke about establishing task forces like government efficiency to settle state spending, so he proposed the idea of removing state property taxes.

“You're just in your property and you have to write a check to the government every year, so basically you pay rent to the government to live in your property,” Desantis said. Florida audio news.
“There are homestead stuff that helps to protect you to some extent, but I think that's a big problem because you're paying more and a lot of people can't afford it, and I think we're really pinching a lot of homeowners, especially seniors with fixed incorns,” he added.
