The Kentucky men's basketball team had to run with the ducks to win Wednesday and escape Norman.
One fan threw a beer at the visited Wildcats and headed for the tunnel after they left the court and won an 83-82 victory with Sooner at Lloyd Noble Center in Oklahoma.
Sophomore Brandon Garrison turned around after being whipped in the head, but Beale seemed to miss the Kentucky player.
The hostile setting appears to stem from Kentucky, featuring former Autogaowe and former Oklahoma State forward Garrison.
Oweh scored a game-winning basket with 6 seconds left, leading all the scorers with 28 points, while Garrison blocked a game-winning shot in the final seconds.
“I'm going home and trying to get under my skin from the moment I get into the game,” Garrison said. “At the end things got a bit chippy, but it's just basketball, nothing more than that. It's part of it.”
Oklahoma fans did not provide a welcoming environment for the Wildcats.
After departing for Kentucky two seasons with Oklahoma, fans who chanted “He is a traitor” replied, “He is a traitor,” according to the Associated Press.
Oweh then scored the final 18 points of the game. This included moving Kentucky one in the second half of the fourth and one inning ahead with six seconds remaining. Garrison blocked Jeremiah's terrifying layup on the other side to seal the victory.
After a swat to save the game, Garrison gloated, turned to fear and was pulled away by his teammate Amari Williams before yelling in his face.
The referee continued to blow whistles, separating the team.
“My emotions got a little higher when I realized I had a block and won,” Garrison said. “I forgot what I said. I'm glad I got the block.”
While Kentucky retreated into the locker room, Williams appears to have flashed a “W” sign at the fans with both hands, as seen in the video posted. Kentucky Sports Radio.
The garrison ended the wild night with beer crying in his head.
The Wildcats improved to 19-9 and 8-7 in SEC play, but Oklahoma is 17-11 and 4-11 in meeting action, and may be in the tough spot that will be chosen on Sunday.
“It's a great feeling and you can come to your old space and get a victory,” Oweh said. “I definitely heard the boo. …It was cool for a basketball player to get that kind of attention.”
