British Prime Minister Kiel Starmer and President Trump are holding a joint press conference at the White House on Thursday as European allies rush to respond to the president's approach to end the Russian-Ukraine war.

At Capitol Hill, the Senate will hold a preliminary vote to advance the nomination of Linda McMahon, which Trump tapped to lead the education division. Earlier on Thursday, the Senate committee voted to move Trump's picks to lead Labor Bureau Lori Chavez Deremar on the Senate floor.
