Celebrity auctioneer Charles Hanson has been unanimously exempt from allegations of forced control and assault that his wife has made against him.
The trial alleges that 46-year-old Hanson placed Rebecca Hanson in a headlock and conceived the baby she later lost, repeatedly “grabbing” and locked her in a hotel room and hurting her when she tried to steal her cell phone.
Charles Hanson refused to assault by assault between 2015 and 2023, causing charges of controlled or forced conduct, actual physical harm, and causing assault.
Television experts told bargain hunt and antique road trip experts to Derby Crown Court that he was “almost a slave” to his wife.
Prosecutors previously said that the WhatsApp message sent to his wife by the defendant, now 41 years old, was equivalent to a “confession set” on the charges.
In his closing speech to the ju judge on Wednesday, Crown Advisor Stephen Kemp said the message, which included Hanson's promise to “put his finger” on his wife again, provided a clear picture of the couple's relationship.
Auctioner's lawyer Sasha WassKC previously told the trial that Hanson was “uncontrolled in the sense of words,” and instead said that in 2023, “ressing, struggling and difficult” in her husband's job commitment before marriage.
Wass asked the ju judges to consider cases that include the allegations of Headlock, which Hanson claims to be simply a hug, claims that Rebecca Hanson has distorted “accumulating fake cases” against her husband.
On Friday, the ju judge returned a verdict not guilty of charges of forced and dominant behavior, assault that caused actual physical harm, and assault by assault after a three-week trial.
The parents of a celebrity auctioneer, sitting in a public gallery, cried and hugged their son after being discharged from the dock.
Speaking to a reporter outside the courtroom, Hanson said: It's been a painful time and all I want now is to readjust it to what was such a challenge. ”
