Ex-Vikings player calls Walz ‘disgrace to football’ over trans athlete inclusion

Former Minnesota Viking and University of Minnesota football player Jack Brewer joins conservative activist Riley Gaines in a rally to lobby for a bill banning transgender athletes in women's sports.

The “Sports of Girls for Preserved” was passed by the state House Education Policy Committee on February 20th and will be voted in the House on Monday. Once you pass there you will be at Governor Tim Waltz's desk. There, waltz is expected to be rejected as he is a strong advocate for trans rights.

Brewer, founder of the Jack Brewer Foundation, finds Fox News Digital “unpleasant” about Walz's Pro-Trans Stances.

“That's absolutely disgusting. When you look at him and see his mannerism and how he carries himself, you know this guy won't appeal to the real man and boy who fought it in Gridiron.

“I think he's honestly a dishonorable thing about the world of football.”

In April 2023, Waltz signed a “trans evacuation” bill to protect people who seek and provide gender-affirming care in the state. Recently, Minnesota has been investigated by the U.S. Department of Education for protesting President Donald Trump's recent “no-men in women's sports” executive order as Minnesota continues to allow him to compete with high school girls.

How transgenderism in sports changed the 2024 election and sparked national counterculture

Waltz's daughter, Hope Waltz, recently went viral due to a series of tiktok videos in opposition to Trump's executive order and defending transgender athletes.

Brewer hopes to have a conversation with the governor about the matter.

“When I got there Monday, if he invites me in his office and has a conversation about this, I'd accept it with respect,” Brewer said. “I'll tell him deep inside his heart that he knows he doesn't believe it.

“I think he's deep inside his mind knowing it's wrong. I think he's trying to appeal to the liberal base on the left…and these LGBTQ groups donate a lot of money, especially in Minnesota.

Brewer doesn't expect Walz to sign the bill if he reaches the desk.

“You know he's not trying to do it. “I pray he has a change of heart and awakening, but if he signs it, I'm sure it's because the money train is over.”

Gaines also told Fox News Digital that he does not expect Walz to sign the bill.

“I'm pretty sure the Waltz would reject this bill,” Gaines said. “But even if it doesn't have the best chance of being signed into law, it's as important as these members, these representatives, these senators are on the record.

Walz's office did not respond to a request for comment on Fox News Digital prior to its publication.
