Jimmy Butler allegedly left Miami home in ‘complete disrepair’: lawsuit

Jimmy Butler's drama in Miami still seems to plague him despite his recent cross-national movement.

Butler, 35, reportedly has been sued for more than $250,000 for the property he previously used between 2022 and 24 while he was a member of Heat.

The Warriors Forward has been criticized for five-star marketing and promotions that have allegedly caused damage to the property without paying two months' worth of rent, not allowing owners access to behavioral tests, and causing damage to the property, according to multiple reports.

Court documents Obtained by WPLG 10 In Miami, Butler is said to have caused $125,000 in damages from mold issues, damaged drywall and flooring, broken HVAC systems and unmaintained pools.

According to the Miami HeraldButler is said to have left the 5,398-square-foot home in “complete devastation.”

The five-star also claims Butler stayed at his Miami Beach home in August 2024 for two months after the expiration of his lease.

According to the lawsuit, Butler signed the lease in August 2022.

Butler is sued for five stars for a total of $257,282, including two months of rent and property damage.

Five Star also argued that he was legally entitled to apply Butler's $130,000 bond to his outstanding balance.

The lawsuit comes less than a month after Butler went on to trade with the Warriors.

Butler's controversy with Miami caused the team to pause him multiple times for his actions against the heat.

The six-time All-Star initially cited the deal from The Heat in January, citing that he could not perform “Joy” in Miami.

“I want to see my joy regaining my joy by playing basketball, and wherever I am, I'll see it right here,” Butler told reporters in January. “I'm happy to be off the court here, but I want to go back to a dominant place somewhere. I want to hoop and I want to help this team win. Right now, I'm not doing that.”

In that drama, Butler reportedly moved to a 70 ka residence on the upscale Hibiscus Island in Miami Beach.
