Rangers’ Chris Kreider misses third straight game with upper body injury

Chris Cryder missed his third straight game on Friday with an upper body injury. The Rangers lost to the Maple Leafs 3-2 in the fourth game after the 4th Nations face-off break.

The longest decorated ranger took part in the optional morning skate and actually took part on Thursday, but was clearly not ready to go back to game action.

As a result, Brennan Osman remained in the lineup for his second straight game in the fourth line next to Johnny Brozinski and Matt Lempe.

K'Andre Miller, who suffered a lower body injury in the Islander game on Tuesday, was able to back up and play on Friday. He was lined up in his regular post on Will Borgen's left.

Additionally, JT Miller was able to play after missing Thursday's practice due to illness.

The latest ranger centered around the second line between Will Quill and Mika Zibanejad.

On the sanctuary where Adam Fox was injured, Zach Jones was first caught in the lineup on February 7th, in front of the four countries facing Pittsburgh.

Jones appeared in the 29th match of the season, lined up next to Braden Schneider in a third defensive pairing.

He was a healthy scratcher in 24 of his past four straight games and 27 contests.

After posting goals and assists for defeat, Mika Zibanejad extended his point streak to five games.

The Swedish Centre has gathered three goals and four assists over that period.

“I think Mika is playing well,” coach Peter Rabiolet said. “He thought it was really good tonight. I think he played it. [24:44] Minute. I thought he was moving. He was producing. I think it has something to do with JT. Will was a good addition to that line. ”

Zibanejad's goal assist expanded Miller's point streak to four games, earning a total of three goals and three assists on top of that.

He currently has 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) in his first nine games for Bruce Heart.

Laviolet has not had much updates on Adam Edstrom, who was in the sanctuary where he was injured in a lower body injury since February 4th.

The 24-year-old Swede, who was predicted to miss 2½ to 3½ months, has not yet resumed skating. He is not expected to follow the source and start skating again for a while.

Toronto head coach Craig Belbe chose to insert the Ryan Leafs into the Maple Leafs lineup after the previous rangers suffered a wound in the previous five games.

Asked about the decision to include a veteran enforcer, Berube pointed to Blue Schartz Bruiser Mattrempe.

“Obviously I think I'm waking up there,” he told reporters. “In my opinion, he's an effective player. He's physical and difficult to handle, so I just wanted to get Reavo there.”
