Teen raped by recent parolee in Bronx stairwell

The parolee, who had just been released in prison for sexually assaulting the boy and throwing him from the rooftop, was accused of raping a 15-year-old girl on the steps of the Bronx, officers and sources said.

Casmine Aska, 29, attacked her teen on Thursday in the elevator at Cooperative City's 140 Bellamy Loop, causing her to squeal the stairs and raped her, officers said. He was arrested Friday night and charged with first-time rape, police said.

Asuka had been on parole since Jan. 30 after being convicted of attempted murder when he pushed a 9-year-old boy from the roof of a five-storey Bronx apartment building on February 1, 2013, police sources said.

He was locked up in 2017 and served eight years in the state prison, state prison records show.

Aska threw the child from 1545 Nelson Ave. Rooffop in Morris Heights after the victim threatened to report sexual abuse, sources said.

Autumn left the boy in a coma state. He briefly regained consciousness and informed the officer that his neighbor, Asuka (17 at the time), had appeared at the house on the third floor and dragged him to the roof.

“I pray to God that he will be better.” The 78-year-old grieving grandfather spoke to the Post in Spanish at the time. “He had surgery on his leg, and at the same time he had surgery on his arm.”

The boy was placed on life support in the hospital, but he eventually survived.

His 72-year-old grandmother said she was at home during the incident, but thought the boy had gone to the corner store to get some soda for his mother.

The family didn't realize what had happened until the desperate neighbor cried out the boy “I'm downstairs!”

By the time his mother ran outside, the child was already loaded into the ambulance.

In addition to his second-degree attempted murder conviction, Aska was charged with criminal sexual conduct, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and behaviour in a 2013 crime in a manner that was harmful to a child under the age of 17, sources said.
