Miami – The Knicks pulled away from another thriller.
Horse riding – Who else? – Jalen Brunson, they overcame a nasty first half and a 19-point deficit with Sunday overtime, 116-112.
Branson proved he can't stop stretching while earning 16 of 31 points in the fourth quarter, working overtime and promoting the name of Captain Clutch.
He was helped on Sunday with a big two-way game of OG Anunoby. He lost 23 points with a lively effort.
McBride played for Mikal Bridges, who again struggled to disappear.
Finishing with 12 points, McBride gave the Knicks the first lead of the game with a Pullup jumper with three minutes left in Legulation.
He also locked Tyler Hero into possessions that could have won the Miami game in the final 10 seconds of the fourth quarter.
Hero missed and set up a final attempt from the Knicks to regulate that Bridge had to hurry up and slam the side of the backboard.
Bridges played two final possessions in the final period and worked overtime, but helped seal the victory, earning an exclamation point dunk assist with 17 seconds left.
Meanwhile, Branson is fleeing the Clutch Player of the Year award.
And he had to make a comeback on Sunday.
The Knicks played the first half, succumbed to lazy defense and drove freely through the heat, as they enjoyed their Saturday night vacation in South Beach.
Branson and the town were targeted with pick-and-roll actions (again, again and again) as the heat dropped an astonishing 40 points in paint in the first half.
It was Miami spam that hunted and succeeded in hunting the Knicks' weakest defenders.
The turning point was a 16-0 Miami Run in the second quarter, pushing the home team to 17 advantages with a break.
However, the Knicks recovered in the third quarter by selling the town of Mitchell Robinson. Mitchell Robinson awakened the pro-Knik crowd to set fire to rally, steal, aggressive rebounds, and cut the deficit to three.
It was just Robinson's second game since ankle surgery, and his third quarter minutes were important. However, he was also below a few minutes limit and was permanently subcontracted early in the fourth quarter.
