Saquon Barkley caps first Eagles season with historic contract

Saquon Barkley is a fresh off that has become a Super Bowl champion and allows you to add another title to your growing resume.

The Eagles gave Star Rush a two-year, $41.2 million contract extension on Tuesday for each report, making him the league's first player of over $20 million.

The record-breaking deal features a fully guaranteed $36 million and includes incentives and escalators of up to $15 million. All Adam Schefter on ESPN.

Berkley certainly did his part to get the extra mullah.

In his first season in Philadelphia, after leaving the Giants in three years of free agency in a $37.75 million deal, the 28-year-old ran for the NFL best 2,005 yards with 13 touchdowns, adding 278 receiving yards and two scores to the total.

He leads the NFL with 125.3 rushing yards per game in the regular season.

The Pennsylvania product put it up to a notch in the postseason and posted 499 yards in four games with five TDs on the way to the first Super Bowl of his career.

Barkley was the Giants' second-place overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
