President Donald Trump blasted Margaret Brennan, moderator of CBS's “Face the Nation,” suggesting that “anyone on the street” could do it.
Trump sat down with audience member Ben Domenek Extensive interviews Then asked about the February exchange that Brennan had with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where she tried to link the horrors of the Holocaust to free speech.
“I call it 'thrashing the nation,'” Trump said when Domenek asked him about the virus exchange.
“Brennan is like a street guy who can say, 'I'll come in and ask a few questions,'” Trump added. “It was so bad, I don't understand how you hire some of these people.”

CBS News did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Brennan's comments came just after Vice President JD Vance, who denounced censorship of government speeches across Europe at the Munich Security Conference last month.
“Well, he stood in a country where free speech was weaponized to do genocide, so he met with the head of a political party with extreme views and some historical links,” Brennan said.
“The context changed that tone,” she continued. “And you know that censorship was specifically about rights.”
Rubio quickly pushed back.
“Well, I have to resist you,” Rubio said.
Trump will increase pressure on CBS with massive discovery demand as the “60 minute” lawsuit moves forward

“Free speech was not used to implement genocide, and genocide was carried out by a random authoritarian Nazi regime because they hated Jews and hated minorities.
“Nazi Germany had no freedom of speech. Nazi Germany had no opposition. They were the only party that ruled that country. So that's not an accurate reflection of history.”
Vance himself was flooring the floor in the “Crazy Exchange.”
“Do the media really think the Holocaust was caused by free speech?” the Vice President responded at the time.
