Most people watching President Trump's first joint speech to Congress approved his speech according to the snap vote.

According to CNN, 44% of speech watchers saw Trump's statement as somewhat positive Instant polling25% said he was somewhat positive about his statements, and 31% said they felt they were negative.
Trump defeated his purpose to reduce federal spending, reduce illegal immigration, and boost border security with his remarks.
Members of the Congress were split primarily through speeches, with a group of Democrats leaving midway through speeches. It was the narrative of the longest joint session by the President of modern history.
Trump received multiple rounds of applause and standing ovations from Republican legislators all night long, especially after chiding people in attendance due to confusion.

Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump paid tribute to the president for his work on “Take I Down Act,” which aimed to criminalize sexually explicit false counterfeits created with the help of artificial intelligence.
