Nearly a dozen students found dismembered by Mexico highway

Local reports say almost dozens of dismembered bodies allegedly belonging to students who are on vacation in Oaxaca, Mexico, were found on Sunday.

Reports from the group found an abandoned car inside, hidden under a bloody tarp, at least nine people's body parts. L Finance and Periodico Central.

There were also bags containing eight pairs of hands.

El Fanfaro said the car was found in San Jose Miachatlan, on the border between Puebla and Oaxaca.

Video surveillance from February 24 shows vehicles driving along the Atlixcayotl highway, about 90 miles west of the body's found, reported Recionico Central.

El Fanfaro said the body was reportedly wounded by a bullet and “signs of torture.”

Rev. Idamis Betancourt, head of the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), said at a press conference Monday that the body could not be identified “due to confidentiality.”

However, Recionico Central's report ID cards were found on the scene that matched the Angie Lizeth PG (29, and Leslie NT (21)) of missing people.

They are believed to be Angie Lises Perez Garcia and Leslie Noya Trejo, the outlet reported.

Local reports include Brenda Mariel N, Jacqueline Aylett N, Noemi Yamilett N, Raul Emmanuel N, Ruben Antonio N and Rolando Armando N. One man is still unknown.

The Puebla State Attorney General's office could not be reached for comment.
