ESPN host Stephen A. Smith continued his criticism of the Democrats, suggesting he was taking the 2028 presidential run seriously on Wednesday night with “Tonight's Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Fallon begins the interview by pointing out how much media attention Smith has been attracting for his potential 2028 presidential bid, and even presents a list of headlines covering his potential candidacy.
After reading some headlines, Fallon asked Smith. “I mean, what's going on? What does this mean?”

Smith initially responded with a tongue comment saying, “People are number one,” but continued to give a more serious overview of the current state of the Democrats.
“No. 2, the Democrats, they're lost. They've been bad for a few months. We all know this. “So I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask for this. I don't want this. I happen to be very, very good life, very good work. I'm fine and very good.”
Longtime sports broadcasters have touched on the rise in his votes as Democrats struggle to find the right candidate to lead the party nationwide.
“I'm looking at these things, I'm looking at these things,” Smith insisted.
Sports journalists claimed he “don't want” the position, but he made comments that appear to strongly suggest the reality of the president's running.

“And I'm saying, 'Wait now. I don't want to do this.' But the fact that they're talking about me like this means I have to say I approve this message. ”
The comment “I approve of this message” was clearly not obtained by Fallon, who cried out, “Ah, God!” In response.
The press seemed generally excited by the prospect of Smith running in 2028, but one veteran Democratic strategist thinks clearly.
James Kerrville is an outspoken critic of Smith's presidential aspirations, saying that when it comes to politics, “through the hole in the ground” and “don't know him.”
“He's running his G-damn's mouths out there about how he might have to run as his G-D-Democrat. There's nothing left in the Democrats, so he has no talent,” Kerrville said on his “War Room” podcast. “Stephen A, are you me?”

Smith responded to Kerrville's harsh criticism of his own podcast, questioning whether this attitude is part of why Democrats struggle to connect with everyday Americans.
“I say religiously that I am not a political enthusiast. I say religiously that I don't know such politics. I read and watch the news. Smith said.

He continued, “Because you sound like one of the old curses that wants things to be like they once were. And you are resenting and you are full of hostility because you are not being heard. That's not Stephen A. Smith's fault.
