Andrew Tate says he plans to live in Florida despite ‘hee haw’ over return to US soil

The former MMA fighter says online influencer Andrew Tate is planning to live in Florida despite his return to “Leon.”

“I'm going to live in America because I haven't done anything wrong. I have an American passport,” Tate, 38, told Fox News Digital on Thursday at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport. “My father worked in this country, and I think there's a lot of media spin where there are people who believe that it's not true.”

History, who has 10 million followers but has made a controversial statement, and Tristan, a 37-year-old brother, has vehemently denied all allegations of misconduct and claimed that at least one accuser had falsified her story.

She filed an anti-suit last month claiming their honour-loss lawsuit was a form of witness threats.

“There is a survey held in Romania, which must return to bail terms to comply with the laws of all countries,” Tate said at the airport. “I have never been convicted of anything anywhere. I am very surprised by this whole hee ho.”

It was not immediately clear where he would fly from OPA Locka. But before he left, he confirmed an X-post that wrote that he was planning to buy a Florida penthouse and become a Sunshine State resident.

Tate and his brother had a private jet in Fort Lauderdale last week after Romanian authorities lifted a travel ban that was part of their bail conditions.

Gov. Ron DeSantis publicly announced that the brothers were not welcomed in his state. This week, Attorney General James Usmier said his office is seeking search warrants and subpoena as part of an aggressive criminal investigation.

The brothers are accused of seducing women in Romania for sexual exploitation in a 2022 case in which prosecutors suffered a major setback after discovering that too many questions on trial could not bring them to trial.

In the second criminal case, which opened in August 2024, they are also being investigated for alleged trafficking of a minor girl.

It was not immediately clear that Florida investigators believed they had gone there.

“In Florida, this type of behavior is considered violent,” Usmeyer told a Florida Capitol reporter on Tuesday. “We're not going to accept that.”

Andrew Tate is expected to be handed over to the UK on separate charges following the conclusion of the Romanian case.

The brothers are dual citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom, but they lived in Romania.
