The Trump administration reportedly revoked a visa for students who protested Hamas, the Islamic terrorist group that attacked Israel on October 7, 2023.
The outlet said the US State Department on Thursday Confirmed This news, but legal restrictions prevented the authorities from identifying the university students or individuals attended.
A State Department official said, “Last evening, we revoked the first alien visa that had been previously cited for criminal activity in connection with the chaos supporting Hamas. This individual was a university student. ICE will proceed with taking this person out of the country.”
President Donald Trump has issued numerous calls to cancel visas if foreign students support terrorist groups on American university campuses. The Fox report noted that many university campuses across the country are epicenters for anti-Israel demonstrations. Some of these cases have resulted in threats against Jewish students, violence against the police, and vandalism.
In October 2023, Breitbart News reported that the then-President Joe Biden (d) administration had no plans to revoke visas for students participating in the protests that defended Hamas.
“After many Republicans urged Biden's State Department to cancel visas for pro-Hamas foreign students who hold F-1 visas, National Security Council (NSC) spokesman John Kirby said the administration would not,” the report said.
In May, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), now Secretary of State, said it was time for U.S. student visa holders to support Hamas, according to Breitbart News.
The article continued:
“If you're in America on a student visa and support Hamas, that's the time you go!” I wrote Senator Rubio on X this week.
The post included a clip of Rubio talking about Rubio on the Senator's floor following the October 7th massacre. Hamas terrorist groups have committed the most deadly attacks on Jews since the Nazi Holocaust. The massacre saw the torture, rape, execution, movement, abduction of hundreds of Israeli civilians, and widespread support from Palestinians for it.
On Wednesday, Trump met with several released Israeli and American Israeli hostages and vowed to punish Hamas and Gaza if everything is not released according to the Breitbart news.
During the rally in the oval office, the former hostages thanked the president for their efforts to free them, and forced him to continue doing the same for the roughly 60 remaining in Gaza.
“Around 20 of them are thought to be still alive. The rest are dead. “We believe you were sent by God,” one hostage told the president to release the remaining hostages,” the outlet said.
