Michigan Autowalker Joseph Knowles was the guest in President Donald Trump's speech to a joint session of Congress, explaining why he “made a good choice” to switch from a lifelong Democrat to a Republican.
In Trump's speech on Tuesday, he was allegedly murdered by illegal immigrants when he praised the 13-year-old brain tumor survivor and the mother of a 12-year-old girl who was murdered, but most Democrats remained seated. Some protested the address by keeping signs that read “False” and “There's no King!” And “I'll steal musk.”
“I'm extremely disappointed with how Democrats handled things,” Knowles told The American Report. “And what do you know? I feel like I made a good choice not to vote for them anymore, and I'm extremely proud of how Donald Trump treated it.”
Knowles expanded the reason he switched to Republican Party.
“[Democrats] They said their agenda was for workers, but that's not the case,” Knowles said. “They lack touch and I can no longer support such organizations or political parties.”
Knowles expressed his disappointment to the House and Senate Democrats before exploding “touch out” for his refusal to support the families of the respected victims in Trump's speech.
“you know what? It just shows you how out of touch they are,” he said. “It doesn’t matter if you are a Republican, Democrat or black and white.
“These are human lives,” Knowles continued. “Each of them had lost someone… you know, these are the people you said you had vowed to protect, but you couldn't stand up for them. You put up the signs and emphasize your interest, but these people have lost someone.”
According to a Quinnipiac University poll conducted between February 13th and 17th, 68% of those surveyed across political parties disapproved of the way Congressional Democrats handle their jobs.
Knowles denounced the Democratic ratings of “True Colors” and shared an optimistic vision for the Republican future.
“I think Democrats are free and they are killing themselves,” Knowles said.
“I have had very good hopes for the Republican Party, meaning more and more people are seeing the true colour of Democrats,” Knowles said. “And then it took me, I've been 20 years to see it, and I've woken up, and I've woken up. I'm sure Americans will wake up too.”
When asked if he would rejoin the Democrats, Knowles gave him an overwhelming no.
“I'm gone forever,” he said. “I've seen enough, and this – what I saw – this isn't completely new. This has been going on for a long time.”
“What TV shows and what the world saw is, this is how they have always handled this situation,” he insisted. “They put their agenda first, and that's all they care about.”
Knowles explained that his experience was out of work and criticised his “union brothers” for criticizing Trump for “ineffective” in their lives.
“I have the Union Brothers and the blue-collar workers right now, but that's off their job now and they're blaming Trump for everything,” he continued. “But they've been in office for the past four years.”
After Knowles lost his job and regained it, the man from his union, who was still out of work, wanted to focus on Trump and raise “34 felonies,” he said.
“They want to cultivate everything that doesn't affect my life, if they're honest with you,” Knowles said. “It doesn't affect their lives. It doesn't affect the border patrols that were shot. It doesn't affect the illegal immigrants who came here and shot and killed their husbands and father. Their priorities aren't in line with us anymore, and a lot of people are beginning to see it.”
