Tech Baron Elon Musk appeared to be sought sanctions against wealthy Ukrainians as a way to push for the end of a bloody war.
Musk highlighted his 2022 challenge to fight him when Russian dictator Vladimir Putin was pushed over the recent tricks by rushing out in Kiev more frequently than in Moscow.
“We will place sanctions on the top 10 Ukraine, especially the top 10 of the Ukrainian oligarchs, where Monaco's mansions are located. This will stop soon. That's the key to the puzzle,” Musk, 53, wrote on X on Weesunday time.
The Musk proposal responded to Senator Mike Lee (R-Utah) who argued that the US should not offer “another penny” to Kiev, as the US spread the massive Ukrainian flag in front of the White House.
In the backlash, Musk highlighted his continued support for Ukraine via the Starlink system, boasting that a satellite-powered Internet system is important to Kiev.
“I literally challenged Putin to one physical battle through Ukraine. My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army,” Musk argued in response to users who accused him of attacking Ukraine more than Russia. “If I turn it off, their whole frontline will collapse.”
“What I'm tired of is the year of a deadly massacre that Ukraine inevitably loses. Anyone who really cares, really thinks and understands would want to stop the meat grinder. Peace now!!!”
In 2022, after a bloody invasion of Russia's unprovoked, neighbouring Ukraine, Musk challenged Putin to a single battle, saying, “The stakes are Ukraine.” Of course, that battle never happened. Russian officials later laughed at him as “erona.”
Musk also challenged Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg. He is 10 years younger than him and actively trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The fist and cuff didn't even respond.
President Trump has also adopted a hard-pressed approach to Ukraine to pressure them on the negotiation table with Russia.
This represents a major change from the Biden administration's stance, in which the United States was actively present on the Ukrainian side. Trump is trying to position himself more in the middle to mediate peace between the two war nations.
CIA director John Ratcliffe confirmed last week that the US had halted its efforts to share intelligence news with Ukraine as the country was in a hurry to dodge Russian invaders. Trump also pumped the brakes of military aid.
Trump, 78, and Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky publicly clashed in an oval office late last month, with Ukraine working to repair Washington and the fence.
Meanwhile, Trump is tired of Russia's bombardment on Ukraine and threatened to use sanctions and other economic measures to put pressure on the negotiation table.
“Currently, based on the fact that Russia is absolutely “pounding” in the battlefield, I am strongly considering tariffs and tariffs on Russia until we reach a major bank sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia and a final settlement agreement on peace.” Trump wrote True Social Friday.
However, later that day, Trump revealed to reporters that he felt “it's more difficult to deal with Ukraine.”
US and Ukrainian officials are scheduled to meet in Saudi Arabia later this week.
