The horrifying discovery comes months after the man's body was found measured with stone in the water just off Riverside Park in New York City.

In September, the body of an unidentified man believed to be between his mid-30s and 40s was found at about 7:15 a.m. on the Hudson River on West 79th Avenue and Riverside Drive.

Investigators saw the incident as suspicious, officers said at the time.

The body being pulled from Boston's water is similar to when a fisherman was caught in a body that had been disassembled from a Brooklyn pier.

The body, which police said was broken down to the point of defining identity, was found floating around Canalcy Pier in Brooklyn before 4pm in January 2021.

Queens Fisherman Edmund Stringa said he went to the pier to fish on Monday but lost a hook when it was caught by a big one.

He said the next day he returned with a stronger line and a bigger hook, merely engulfing his broken down body.

“It was really heavy. I pulled out a bit and looked at my shoes, my pants,” he said.

“I thought it was suspicious. I knew it wasn't a fish.”
