Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) may introduce herself as “the Queen of the Ghetto Congress,” but the old video has resurfaced, indicating that it could be all acts.
In the video, Crockett speaks in a gentle and eloquent way, carefully selecting her words and paying homage to the interviewer.
“It's just a fake,” says Jason Whitlock, who is “fearless.” “We have mastered the art of being fake in front of certain people, for our benefit or for performance reasons.”
“They took the black girl from the small suburbs next door, looked cute and went to a private school a bit, I went to a Catholic, mostly white high school in St. Louis and said, “Hey, I'm going to dress you up from the ghetto as 'Queen of Yas' when you arrive at Parliament,” he continues.

“And she's cursed and loud, she's leaning against fake eyelashes and nails, etc. It's a clown show. We've seen it a million times,” he adds.
Shemeka Michel agrees.
“Jasmine Felicia Crockett wasn't the ghetto guy when she was a state representative, she was born to a pastor and his wife,” says Michelle.
“So, this isn't even the life she actually lived in. And we've known for a long time that it was a character,” she continues. In another old video just five years ago, she says, “it was a bit chabbier and the eyelashes were long and not dramatic.”
“It's all we see right now,” says Michelle. “Every time she opens her mouth, she's either cursing her, or she has to keep on hand, and show us those long claws.”
“It's a gimmick. It's an act,” she adds.
