Construction workers fought a suspected robber who was found armed with guns, and all interactions were caught up in video.
The incident unfolded Wednesday around 4pm as city construction workers were working on a drainage project along East 25th Street in Houston, Texas. According to Go to Ktrk-TV.
“One of the workers was hit so hard by the suspect that he reportedly lost his teeth.”
Ktrk obtained a video of the incident and spoke to one of the workers. The crew said they were suspicious when the same vehicle, the 2021 white Chevrolet Malibu, drove three times in a busy, sloppy workplace.
In the video, a man dressed in black grabs a concrete saw from the site to head to the vehicle, but the workers attack him and tackle the ground. At one point he drops the saw, pulls out a gun, and grabs a weapon to one worker.
Another worker swings a hammer at the suspect. They run away without saws or guns.
One of the workers was hit so hard by the suspect that he reportedly lost his teeth. No firing occurred, so the entire argument lasted for about a minute.
Ktrk said the neighborhood is full of families.
Houston police said they had not been arrested yet but were keeping an eye on the suspects. They have no explanation.
