“The Bachelorette” alumnus Deanna Pappas was arrested in February for battery charges against her ex-husband Stephen Stagliano.
Pappas was arrested on February 27th in Santa Clarita, California on misdemeanor charges and released on a $20,000 bond on the same day. The arrest also stemmed from suspicion of alcohol consumption.
Her court hearing is set for March 20th.

On March 7, the reality TV star filed a restraining order against Stagliano, ordering him to stay 100 yards away from her.

According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, Stagliano arrived at Pappa's house and went to pick up her daughter Addison. They also share their son Austin.
“Steven took his hand, grabbed me, then forced me to shove me. He pushed me back again.”
“Steven said he needed to get close to him because he wanted to smell a breath to make sure I wasn't drunk. He wasn't consuming any alcohol. I ignored Stephen's comments and went back to the garage,” Pappas wrote.
She continued. [Our daughter] It was just sitting in the car with the engine running and left it alone. I tried to close the garage door. Stephen pushed my garage door upwards to prevent it from closing. I cried to Stephen to leave the garage. Stephen refused to leave. ”
Pappas said he went back inside and locked the door before he could hear the sound from the garage.

“Steven took his hand, grabbed me, and pushed me forcefully. He pushed me back again. Fearing that he would hurt me, I quickly returned to the house and closed the door while waiting for the police to arrive,” she said.

Pappas said Stagliano called police around midnight. Pappas said to her ex-husband who responded to the officer she was drunk, arrested and booked with a battery charge.
“Steven told the sheriff I was the invader who assaulted him, but that was wrong. Despite Stephen's allegations, I was never asked to be tested for alcohol. In fact, the officer who arrested me showed no concern that I was drunk at all.”

Pappas explained that after she was released from prison, she volunteered for alcohol and drug tests and tested negative for both.
Pappas representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
According to IntouchOn the same day as Pappa's arrest, Stagliano's mother, Lin, filed a declaration of divorce.
According to Lynn, “At 7:38am on Wednesday, February 26th, I went to Deanna's house to take Austin to school. I smelled alcohol in Deanna's breath. I let Austin in the car and left.”

According to the outlet, Pappas filed opposition, claiming Stephen has a history of “coaching his daughter to find alcohol at home.”
She went on to say that her ex-husband “literally taught her to sniff alcohol and alienate her from me by making her believe I am an alcoholic.”

The outlet reported that when the couple resolved their divorce, “Neither party agreed that “they will drink alcohol beyond legal restrictions during their custody period, or that they will not have custody and manager children or children when they are drunk.”

Papas and Stagliano also agreed not to consume drugs when or during the child's responsibility 12 hours ago or during that time.
Stagliano and Pappas tied the knot in October 2011 and announced their split in June 2023. Their divorce was finalized in June of the following year.
