Admitted Hezbollah terrorist finally set to be deported — a year after he crossed border

Illegal Lebanese immigrants who have arrived under the Biden administration have confirmed he is a Hezbollah terrorist, hoping to “make a bomb” to get his deportation letter, immigration and customs enforcement agencies told the Post on Monday.

Now, the Trump administration is working to eventually drive him out of the country.

New York-bound immigrant Baselbassel Ebbadi, 22, admitted his ties to a terrorist group and admitted his ambitions when he was captured by border agents in El Paso, Texas on March 9, 2024, and immediately took federal custody.

During a medical screening at the processing center, Ebbadi was asked what he was doing in the US and he replied, “I'm going to make a bomb,” according to Border Patrol documents obtained previously by the Post.

Ebbadi was transferred to ice with an “immediate removal order” almost a week later, the agency said.

However, due to administrative hurdles and the federal prison sentence he served, he was only now expelled.

He was later convicted of illegally entering the country and was sentenced to five months in federal prison on April 26th.

Ebbadi returned to ice custody after serving his sentence, but was eventually deported on January 13 by an immigration judge.

Lebanese immigrants remain in ice custody and have not yet been kicked out.

After he was captured at the border, Ebbadi in an interview claimed he wanted to escape from Lebanon and Hezbollah because he “didn't want to kill people”, saying, “When you enter, you can never go outside.”

He also admitted that he was trained in Hezbollah for seven years and served as a weapons guard for terrorist organizations for another four years.

Ebbadi's training focused on “jihad” and murder of non-Muslims, he said at the time.

The suspicious terrorists had no documents when he entered the United States and claimed they had been stolen at a knife point in Costa Rica.

During the Biden administration, border agents caught nearly 400 terrorists across the southern border due to an overwhelming spike in immigration.

In one case, the border patrol released al-Shabaab terrorists from Somalia. Somalia roamed the United States for almost a year before the ice caught him in Minnesota.

The Trump administration has also continued to hunt down more than 100 immigrants illegally to the United States and suspected of ties with ISIS released under Biden's administrators.

To crack down on the issue, the Trump administration has suspended a problematic “catch-and-release” policy that allows millions of immigrants to be free to the country.
