The fullback is a dying breed in the NFL, but some teams have adopted standalone fullbacks as part of their offense. (Others may be happy with a tight edge in the backfield, or even a defensive lineman.)
As far as fullbacks are concerned, this year's list has a very popular name, and a short list of free agents has excellent talent. We voted for a group of writers around SB Nation to gather consensus rankings on players.
Players will be removed from the list as they will re-sign with their current team until the opening of the free agency in March.

4. Adam Prentiss, New Orleans Saints
He played a lot of snaps this year with offensive and special teams for the Saints – more than Taysam Hill, in fact – but our voters didn't appreciate him very much. He will turn 28 in January 2025.
3. Michael Burton, Denver Broncos
Burton has been in and out of multiple teams active rosters in his career, but at age 32 in 2024, he has a productive year with the most yards from the scrimmage of his career in Denver.
2. Reggie Gilliam, Buffalo Bills
Gilliam, who was not drafted in 2020, has been involved in the bill ever since. He is mainly used in special team roles, where he plays in all units and leads the team in ST snaps.
1. Patrick Ricardo, Baltimore Ravens
Ricardo will turn 31 this offseason, so the Ravens may want to be younger, but they can continue to pair him with millennial Derrick Henry. He played his entire career with the Ravens after signing as UDFA in 2017. update: As expected, Ricardo will return to Baltimore in 2025.

Kyle Juszczyk
Perhaps the NFL's most famous fullback, the 49ers, announced they've moved from a longtime member of the backfield. He is about to turn 34, but is planning to play his 13th NFL season. He was a 50% snap count player in San Franc, so he might land somewhere alongside Kyle Shanahan's pupil.
