ESPN analyst Louis Riddick slams Shedeur Sanders ‘smear campaign’

Shedeur Sanders, as we have seen for many years, polarizes the draft outlook, and ESPN analyst Louis Riddick believes there are coordinated attempts to defeat him.

The former NFL front office executive told Dampatrick that some teams are Colorado coaches and NFL Hall of Fame Deoion Sanders, and his father is causing misleading rumors as he is causing controversy.

“He's the best round player,” Riddick told Patrick.

“Where did this negativity come from?” Patrick replied. “It feels like a smear campaign…”

“People are in this game, and for years we've been trying to talk about certain prospects,” Riddick said. “Deion (Sanders) is a lightning bolt. That's where it starts – it doesn't even start with Chedur, this starts with his father, then drips down on him.

“It's been like that since I played with Deion in 1992. People don't like flashy people who can back it up. They don't, though. …In Deion's case, he was a polarizing player for people who don't know him all the time. …Along with Chedur, he has some of his fathers in him, there's no doubt. Why couldn't he be? He's the son of a man.”

Riddick knows more about the league's internal mechanics than most people because of his time as a player, executive and current analyst.

He rose ranks in various front offices after his playing career ended, becoming as high as the Commander and the Eagles professional director before signing ESPN.

He has interviewed many general managers in recent years for the openings, including the Giants.

His comments resemble deionized, made in early February, when the team predicted that they would use media against their families.

Dion coached his son in both Colorado and Jackson.

“I told him, first of all, don't believe anything they say. People criticize you, so you fall on them. That's right. Now it's positioning. So don't believe it. Now it's positioning. But he's talking to people who make the move, so he's not listening to the media,” Deion said. “He's talking to the head coach, the GM and all of the first three teams because that's where I think he'll land somewhere there.”

Although Chedur appears to be behind Miami's Come Ward as the top quarterback in the draft, it is still expected to be a fairly high pick.

Chedur still has the opportunity to improve inventory on Colorado's Pro Day on March 18th, where he and Stud Travis Hunter show off their talent.
