PGA Championship Kicks Off Today

The PGA Championship, the second of the four main tournaments on the PGA Tour, starts today and runs until Sunday, May 17. By the end of the tournament, the champion of the 108th edition will be determined. This year’s event features a lineup of 156 players, including both PGA Tour champions and past major winners. Following the first two rounds, only the top 70 golfers will advance.

Scottie Scheffler enters as the frontrunner, looking for his first win since his last victory at this same tournament. Other hopefuls include Rory McIlroy, fresh off two Masters wins, alongside Jon Rahm, Cameron Young—who won the 2026 Players Championship—and Bryson DeChambeau, rounding out the top contenders.
