After allegedly killing teenager he found in bed with wife, husband tells detectives he’s worried about his marriage

A Tennessee man has been accused of killing a teenager he found in bed with his wife. After his wife's lover was allegedly murdered, the detective asked the suspect's murder what he was worried about, and he said “his marriage.”

On Saturday, 41-year-old Jonathan Berg reportedly returned to his home in Dunlap, Tennessee, about 40 miles north of Chattanooga. When he arrives, Berg reportedly found a man in bed with his wife.

“He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheelers and worked on everything.”

Police suspect Berg stabbed Billy Jean Floyd.

Floyd, whose 18th birthday was just three days before his death, was found dead in the position of a fetal packed in a trash can.

When police arrived, they found Berg cut his hand “standing in a bloody doorway,” according to the affidavit.

Berg's wife, 31-year-old Jada Golston, also suffered several stab wounds that required him to be hospitalized in the Erlanger Schicachi Valley Emergency Department in Dunlap. WTVC. Gholston's stab wounds are said to be life-threatening, WDEF-TV.

The wife initially wrote in an affidavit to law enforcement, “The man jumped at his boyfriend while he was in bed.”

Berg was arrested and imprisoned for criminal murder.

The detective is said to have asked Berg if he was concerned about major issues other than his legal distress.

“I am worried about my relationship with my wife because of the fact that I rejected him,” Berg said.

Floyd of Jasper, Tennessee went under the nickname “Lil Bill” according to him. Obituary.

“He was working on hunting, fishing, quadrilaterals and everything,” the obituary reads. “He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.”

Berg remains in custody at the Sickachie County Jail.

Berg is scheduled for his bond hearing on March 21st.
