Long Island drug dealer accused of selling ‘enough fentanyl to kill more than 65,000 people’

Authorities were charged Wednesday, prosecutors said.

Kevin Brown, 39, was attacked on drug, weapons and dog fight charges on Wednesday in a 34-count indictment in which authorities found more than 1,000 pills.

Police also found eight rounds of handguns carrying seven pit bulls living in filthy state, additional ammunition, a bag of ketamine and dozens of other fentanyl tablets.

Prosecutors say the street value of the pills alone is around $34,000.

“The sale of dangerous drugs is often linked to the cruelty of dog fights, and the defendant is said to have owned and sold pills containing enough fentanyl to kill more than 65,000 people.

Police and the DEA Task Force have begun an investigation into Brown after an overdose occurred inside a Willow Avenue home in September 2024.

After two months of surveillance, they raided his property.

The malnourished dog was found in a dirty wooden box, six of which were tied to heavy chains, prosecutors alleged.

Roaming pit bulls in the backyard included “grimming” ears, a common practice used in dog fights where owners intentionally mutilate animal ears, and various dog fighting items were retrieved.

Prosecutors said seven dogs (five men and two women) were marked with a frightening dog combat scar, and two women were used to breed.

A few months later, the dog recovered and the two were adopted, prosecutors said.

The other five are for adoption in the town of animal shelter in Hempstead.

Meanwhile, Brown was seen smiling in the Nassau County Courthouse. ABC 7 It has been reported.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges and Judge Can Fink was released on bail in $100,000 in cash, ordering not to own a pet.

According to ABC 7, Brown was released after posting bail.

His lawyer denied Brown's involvement outside the court.

“He's a family man and he's married. According to the TV outlet, he has children,” Mark Gunn said.

“I don't think he's the owner of these dogs. I think DAS has assumed about dog fights that I don't think are accurate.”

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said Brown would pay for alleged animal cruelty.

“We're going to give him a nice, comfortable cell,” he was furious.

“He lives in the same squatter who put these poor dogs in and has to let him learn that little life lesson.”
