‘How much have you had to drink tonight, Wally?’ Former police chief dragged from car, arrested for DUI in wild bodycam video

A newly released police body cam video shows an officer who physically removed the former Illinois State Police Chief from his car after being accused of driving intoxicated.

Walter Klimek, the best of Bridgeview Police Station from 2013 to 2016, was involved in a car accident on December 27, 2024.

“You guys are my f**king friends.”

Officers from nearby Judicial Police Station responded to a high-speed car accident in which Klimek speeding car allegedly hit a guardrail, and were slammed by another vehicle after spinning out. WGN-TV It has been reported.

Police body cam video -Feering explicit language – Klimek is deployed in the driver's seat of the car with airbags deployed, and police officers are displayed around the car.

Klimek appears to be unaware that his car is involved in a car accident and insists on leaving the crime scene. The officer is heard on police body cam video and informs the former police chief that his car was involved in a car accident and was damaged.

Klimek screams at the officer: “Let's do this!” Then he tries to become friends with the officer.

Justice and Bridgeview's Chicago area villages are neighbors to each other, and a Justice officer who knows who the former Bridgeview Police Chief is asks, “How much did you have to drink tonight?”

A passenger in another vehicle where Klimek was reportedly injured was injured and was taken to a local hospital.

When the ambulance arrives at the scene, Klimek is heard asking the officers.

After the officer explains that it is the ambulance that tends to be injured drivers, Klimek is heard screaming, “F**k! Let's get f**k from here!”

Klimek refuses to follow the officer's order to leave the officer's vehicle and avoids the steering wheel and grasps the steering wheel as officers try to remove him from the vehicle.

The officer told Krimek, “It's okay, Wally, we're going to have to go outside, it's a guy.”

“You're embarrassed of yourself,” the officer tells Klimek in the Bodycam video released this week. “Let's become an adult now.”

The former police chief tells the officers, “You guys are my f**king buddies,” and he says, “I'm sorry.”

Finally, two officers physically removed Klimek from his car.

After being dragged from the vehicle, Klimek is still not cooperative and is placed on a stretcher and tied up.

Even after he was booked, Klimek was reportedly confused about the incident and unaware that he was involved in a car accident or that he was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, the video shows.

“What does DUI mean?” Klimek told police New York Post. “I'm not drunk.”

According to arrest reports, Klimek refused to draw blood at a local hospital to determine his blood alcohol content.

The former police chief has been charged with misdemeanor arrest and resisting DUI.
