Drug raid turns bloody after pit bulls maul officers, police bodycam video shows

According to a police bodycam video, Pitbull had several Massachusetts officers during a police attack at a snack shop last week.

On March 5th, around 1pm, Webster Police Station officials and FBI agents executed a search warrant at Exotix's snack retailer.

The police chief urged the court to ensure that both suspects are subject to the maximum penalty allowed.

A search warrant was granted after months of investigation into the sale and distribution of drugs from stores.

“When I see it's business and selling marijuana products to minors, it's very unsettling,” Webster Police Chief Mike Shaw said. WCVB-TV.

Police said they “met heavy resistance” from the two male suspects during the attack.

The officer was also a victim of a dog attack. The police said in a statement The officer was attacked by “two big pit bull dogs.”

One of the dogs was “fixed” when the officer used the taser.

Chief Shaw said, “The dog was upset when the officers entered to take the suspect. The dog immediately attacked one officer, bit him with his leg, and he needed 11 stitches.”

Four Webster officers were injured in dog attacks. Three officers were taken to University of Massachusetts Webster Hospital. They have been released ever since.

Additionally, law enforcement has seized “a large number of illegal substances, one firearm, ammunition, one Taser and other contraband.”

Police arrested 35-year-old Jeffrey Salley of Yonkers, New York.

Sally was charged with possession of an electric stun gun, obstruction of justice, two possession with intent to distribute a Class C substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class D substance, possession of a Class E substance, and conspiracy to violate the Drug Act.

Police also arrested Gabriel Brandino, 30, of the Bronx, New York.

Blandino has possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, improper storage of a firearm, neglecting ammunition, possession of an electric stun gun, possession of two counts, possession of two Class C substances, possession of intent to disperse a Class D substance;

Webster Animal Control got two dogs and determined that the dog was not up to date on rabies vaccinations, but otherwise was “healthy and safe.” Pitbulls are subject to 10-day quarantine.

“It's never easy to see my officers get injured while performing their duties. I'm angry at me about this, the fact that this was a commercial establishment that openly distributes drugs,” Chief Shaw said.

The Chief praised the officers for not shooting a pit bull, but noted that they were “justified in doing so.”

Chiefshaw urged the court to make both suspects subject to the maximum penalty allowed.

“Operations like this erode the very structure of our community. This already has more than a share of the challenge,” Shaw said. “As a community, we need to be furious and demand less.”
