Pentagon's leaky Jack Teisheira signed a plea agreement at court marshall on Thursday, For Associated Press.
Teisheira, a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, pleaded guilty to military obstruction that obstructed a judicial charge, according to the Associated Press. The judge accepted the deal.
Teixeira, who leaked classified information about the US war strategy in Ukraine due to discordant social platforms, said Thursday that she would “expose and correct the lies that were committed by President Biden and empowered the American people” in the Russian-Ukraine War.
“I think the Justice Department has been politicized against President Trump and myself,” Teisheira said, according to the Associated Press.
Late last year, a US District Court judge sentenced Teisheira to 15 years in prison. Teixeira also pleaded guilty to six intentional retention and transmission of classification information last March after posting more than 100 classified documents covering topics including Ukraine and information collected through spying in allies.
Army prosecutors wanted the aptitude to obstruct justice and violate orders. Lt. Colonel Bradley Poronsky, Teixeira's lawyer, was not punished Monday for allegations of obstructing justice, the Associated Press reported.
The two sides ultimately reached a judicial agreement in which, according to the Associated Press, the request for a denial order was removed.
