Lead singer Arnel Pineda had just reached the second verse of his hits when the sound stopped blowing up the speakers and the projector's screen went dark.

“For a smile, they can share the night it goes…” Pineda sang before the sudden stop.

Fans realized that this silence was not the planned pause on the show, so they continued singing “It goes on and on” until their voices eventually faded.

The crew reportedly were found rushing through the stage, and footage from the concert showed the stage hand holding the fire extinguisher as it stepped into action.

Khou reported that the band left the stage and that the incident was determined to be caused by an “electric fire.”

The outlet adds that an announcement has come to the speakers to let fans know that the show has been cancelled and that everyone had to evacuate.

The crew reportedly ran through the stage with fire extinguishers when the power was turned off.

Others were surprised to see the problem with the stadium, which has a capacity of 72,200.

“We stopped believing when they said it was cancelled,” one attendee wrote on social media.

“I drove for 5 and a half hours and paid a two-night hotel stay besides the concert ticket,” another commented. “Please honour people's efforts to continue supporting the Houston Rodeo and reschedule the show.
