On Friday, the Ministry of Education launched an investigation of 45 universities into racially-based preferences and policy allegations.
The Department's Civil Rights Office (OCR) said the investigation was caused by allegations that the university violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. There are networking opportunities, but we limit eligibility based on participants' competition,” the agency said in a press release. The OCR is also looking at six universities allegedly awarded race-based scholarships and one university that allegedly promoted programs that separate students by race.
US Secretary of Education Linda McMahon said in a statement:
The department is working on a reorientation of civil rights enforcement to ensure that all students are protected from illegal discrimination. The agency has already launched a Title VI investigation into agencies with reports of widespread anti-Semitic harassment and has released a Title IX investigation into entities allegedly continuing to allow sex discrimination. Today's announcement expands efforts to ensure that universities do not discriminate against students based on race and racial stereotypes. ”
“Students must be evaluated according to their merits and achievements, rather than being fed up by their skin color. We will not succumb to this commitment,” she added.
The investigation will also come after the OCR I sent a letter On February 14th, we remind schools receiving federal funding that they must end their racial preferences and use of stereotypes in educational programs and activities. This letter cited the Supreme Court's 2023 Student vs Harvard The decision to overthrow positive actions. Read:
In recent years, American educational institutions have discriminated against students based on their race, including white and Asian students, many of which come from underprivileged backgrounds and low-income families. These institutions embrace prevalent, abominable racial-based preferences and other forms of racism, occurring in all aspects of academia. For example, universities, universities, and K-12 schools routinely use race as a factor in admissions, financial aid, employment, training, and other institutional programming. In the shameful echoes of dark times in the history of the country, many American schools and universities encourage racial separation in graduation ceremonies, dormitories and other facilities.
Institutions have lashingly indoctrinated students with the false premise that the United States is built on “systematic and structural racism” and highly discriminatory policies and practices. Proponents of these discriminatory practices have sought to justify them further within the scope of the flag “diversity, equity, inclusion” (“DEI”).
However, under the banner, discrimination is based on race, color, or country of origin and remains illegal.
“This sector will no longer tolerate the obvious and secret racism that is prevalent in educational institutions in this country. The law is clear. Treat students differently based on race to achieve ambiguous goals such as diversity, racial balance, social justice, or equity.”All students are entitled to a school environment that is free of discrimination. The department is committed to ensuring that these principles are real. ”
