DOGE representatives visit US Institute of Peace, are turned away

Officials from the USIP Institute of Peace (USIP) said several members of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) arrived Saturday with FBI agents without notice but were denied access to the building after being approached by lawyers.

“They were met at the door by external counsels from the Institute who informed them of USIP's private and independent status as a non-executive branch institution. Gonzo Gallegos, USIP's communications director, said in a statement to Hill that Doge representatives left after that discussion.”
