Joey Gallo appears to be trying to change as his career hits a new low point.
After he was released from the White Sox on Sunday, the former Yankees bust is X, who said he would try to convert from outfielder to pitcher.
He posted “It's a fun outfield” and edited a video of him making throws in the outfield and throwing the bullpen.
Gallo, 31, followed with a post saying, “To be clear, I'll pitch.”
Two-time All-Star Gallo struggled through his brutal spring training with Chicago, going 2-2 at the plate with 11 strikeouts in nine Cactus League matches.
He spent last year with his third team, the Nationals, after his disastrous Yankees tenure, having 27 RBIs with .161/.277/.336 slash line and .613 OPS on 10 home runs.
The Nationals rejected the $8 million option in November, and he was in Chicago's spring training camp on a minor league contract.
Gallo was one of the Yankees' major additions at the 2021 trade deadline, earning him from the Rangers, where he spent the first six seasons of his career.
The Yankees then traded him for the Dodgers at the 2022 deadline.
In his one-year stint in the Bronx, Gallo hit .159/.291/.368 with 25 home runs in 140 games, 46 RBI and .660 OPS.
He also attacked 194 times with the appearance of 501 plates.
However, Gallo has always been a plus fielder, has a strong arm and has won two Gold Globe Awards.
However, he does not pitch professionally.
However, Tyler Nakin, who had a short stint with the Mets in 2022 and spent eight years as an outfielder at MLB, has transformed himself by signing the Guardians as pitcher this offseason.
Anthony Gose has been somewhat successful in the 372 MLB game as an outfielder in the 372 MLB game before converting to pitcher.

Gose has made 31 appearances as a pitcher in MLB and is currently at Mets camp as a non-roster invitation.
