Coyotes reportedly terrorizing Washington neighborhood

Earlier on March 11, WDFW officials received a report on another incident involving contact with a coyote with a human who has not reported injuries in the Factoria area.

“Early that morning, the Coyotes went up to a group of kids waiting at the bus stop and tried to bite them, bite their clothes and get their backpacks,” WDFW said in a press release. “An adult on the scene intervened and the school bus arrived. The children left on the bus. Fish and wildlife officers and wildlife conflict staff responded to the scene.”

WDFW authorities believe the same coyotes were involved in each incident.

“Prevention is the best tool to minimize conflict with coyotes and other wildlife. Keep your cat inside, keep your dog, and avoid early morning or late night walks with your pet in areas where coyotes are known to be known,” WDFW said in a press release. “Don't leave small children alone where coyotes often see and hear. ”
