Former CNN anchor Don Lemon has accused President Donald Trump's supporters of “really f-racist,” while Black Magazine voters aren't “rational” in a new interview with HBO's Bill Maher.
“I don't think you can become a black person and become a reasonable Maga person. I think you can become a black person and become a Republican,” Lemon told Maher on his Club Random Podcast, which was released Sunday on his Club Random Podcast.
Maher, a longtime host of HBO's “real-time” countered that black Trump supporters would likely find Lemon's “very humiliating” ratings.
“Well, the truth is often humiliated,” replied Lemon.

This is not the first time a former cable news host has blown up Trump supporters with even vicious and profanity. Lemon called Trump voters “silly” on his podcast in December, and chuckled “silly maga brain.”
“You're so stupid, you deserve it. You deserve it because you're so stupid. Yes, I shine in your stupidity,” Lemon said of the controversy within MAGA over the H-1B visa.
Lemon worked for CNN for 17 years, but was fired in 2023 after a brief, turbulent run hosting the Cable News Network morning show. The fighting anchor frequently clashed with his female co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Cate Lancolins, drawing intense criticism saying that Republican Nicky Haley was past her “prime” because she was in her 50s.
That and other incidents and other incidents finally led to the x of Lemon under then CEO Chris Licht.

After leaving CNN, he tried to host his own show on X, but Elon Musk cancelled their deal before the first episode aired. Lemon later sued Musk, accusing him of “fraud, negligence and reputational damage.”
Lemon not only directed his anger at Black Trump supporters while talking to Maher, but also widely bombed the Maga movement as a racist. Lemon was dropped off on Magabass when Maher said that Tom Hanks' recent fictional depiction of Trump supporters thought he was “very old” due to a gag that refused to wave the black character.

“To be honest, the huge sect of the Maga movement is truly racist,” Lemon shot back.
The former anchor said that even if Trump's supporters weren't racist, they might make his vote for him even more “worse” because they “have to overlook” the racism of other supporters.
