Rory McIlroy sealed it with a kiss after winning the second player championship on Monday.
The 35-year-old Northern Irishman and his wife, Erica Stoll (who canceled his divorce last June) kissed in a sweet embrace after long lasting JJ span in the three-hole playoffs at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, as seen in the X video on the PGA Tour.
McIlroy hugged the couple's four-year-old daughter Poppy, who gave him pink flowers after his victory.
Another snapshot showed McIlroy kissing her daughter's forehead while Stoll smiled and looked at him.
McIlroy's divorce petition was voluntarily rejected by a court in Palm Beach County, Florida. Page 6 It was reported previously.
McIlroy filed for divorce in May 2024 after seven years of marriage, saying the union was “irreparably broken.”
He submitted documents the day after he won the Wells Fargo Championship, but Stall was not present.
Last June, McIlroy said he and Stoll “settled our differences” and they “recognized our best future together as a family.” Guardian.
Their divorce bomb was on display in the third season of Netflix's “Full Swing,” which premiered last month.
Shortly after accepting his family on Monday, McIlroy posed in new hardware.
A four-hour delay in rain and windy weather affected the final round of Sunday's athletes championship. The playoffs began Monday at 9am.
McIlroy described it as a “battle” while discussing the conditions for playing in TPC Sawgrass.
“It was a fight in most ways. Conditions…even going on Monday to fight a golf course where JJ is fighting my emotions.” He said. “This was a battle I was grateful to have been on the top.”
After winning the AT&T Pebble Beach Proam last month, McIlroy is heading for next month's Masters.
McIlroy, who has not won a major since 2014, needs a green jacket to complete his career grand slam.
