Illinois mother files complaint over trans student in girls locker room

“Girls want a locker room Bathroom bag. They want to regain their privacy. This is why I'm here tonight. My 13-year-old daughter's happiness, mental health and privacy are at risk,” Jogus said in a speech at the board meeting Thursday.

According to Georgas, her daughter was “frightened” and “very upset” when she realized that she was using the girls' bathroom on February 5th and that transgender students were also using the facility at the same time.

“She was told by the administration that students can now identify as women, so they can use the bathroom and the women's locker room,” Jogus said of the explanatory manager who was said to have provided her daughter.

Georgas then raised the issue with the school administration, pointing out to them that he believed it was a direct violation of President Donald Trump. “Exclude men from women's sports” Presidential order. She said in her speech that the administration, under the direction of her legal counsel, informed her that students were free to use both the girls' bathroom and the girls' locker room.

Georgas raised the issue with the school administration, noting to them that he believes he is directly violating President Donald Trump's executive order “protecting men from women's sports.”

“That day, I filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Justice on behalf of my daughter. I'm currently being referred to the Department of Education. A federal complaint has been filed with the district to protect students.”

Georgas said the situation got worse a few days later when her daughter and other classmates refused to be converted to uniforms during physical education due to the presence of a transgender student.

She claimed the next day that school administrators pulled the girls aside and later turned them into uniforms.

“That day [Assistant Superintendent for Student Services] Joanna Ford, [Assistant Principal] Kathy Van Trese and several teachers all came to the girls' locker room and turned them into uniforms. This lasted for a week,” she said, adding that her daughter still “refused to participate.”

Georgas appeared in the “American Report” last week, expressing his biggest concern about the situation.

“This sets such a dangerous precedent for girls everywhere by allowing men to enter safe places. My biggest concern is that non-transitional adult biological men have free access to women's toilets. [and] Locker rooms, put safety and privacy at risk. This is common sense. ”
