On Monday's Fox News Channel's “Hoonity,” White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt said the weekend's strike against the Hoosis was a success, and the Department of Defense will “continue this campaign if Houthis continues its retaliation measures.”
Levitt said, [relevant remarks begin around 4:00] “[W]e knows that these successful defensive strikes that took place over the weekend against the Housis of the Red Sea were indeed successful. We take out some of their leaders and the Department of Defense will continue – if Houthis continues its retaliatory action, we will continue this campaign. The President is trying to support navigation, our freedom of voyage at sea. This is a very basic principle that unfortunately the previous administration rejected support, and that's why we are in this chaos in the Middle East to begin with. President Trump has inherited many issues due to the incompetence and weakness of the Biden Harris administration.
