College baseball player apologizes for controversial third base celebration

Michigan infielder Mitchell Voight He announced a public apology on social media on Monday after his controversial and drug-inspired celebration during his 11-0 victory over USC the previous day.

With a 2-0 lead in two innings, Voit celebrated the play by ripping triple-two-center fields and sliding them to 3 bases, mimicking the use of cocaine.

The video played a round with X, prompting Voit to apologise.

“I would like to apologise for my actions at 3 base yesterday. I made an immature decision in the heat of the moment,” his post read.
