The MS-13 gang boss is suspected and Francisco Javier Roman Baderes, one of the FBI's 10 most wanted fugitives, was reportedly taken into custody by Mexican authorities.

The Attorney General, the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard have issued a joint statement announcing the arrest of Roman Bardares on the Teothello Baxtra Expressway in Veracruz.
“He was informed of the reason for his arrest, his legal rights were read by him, and he was transferred to Mexico City before his corresponding authority and then deported to the United States he wanted,” the statement said.
The FBI said Roman Baderes is responsible for overseeing criminal organizational activities in the United States, Mexico and his hometown of El Salvador.
Additionally, he is also accused of ordering “a large number of acts of violence against civilians and rival gang members, and his role in the drug distribution and terror schemes in the United States and El Salvador.”
In the US, Roman Bardales was charged with “conspiracy to provide material support and resources to assault the terrorist, narcoterrorist conspiracy and traffic aliens.”
The FBI had provided a $250,000 reward for information that led to his capture.
Along with other criminal organizations, Los Angeles-based MS-13 is classified as a terrorist organization by the Trump administration.
Designating the cartel as a terrorist group would pave the way for us to direct our strike against the cartels in Mexico and their drug operations, according to some current and former officials.
“Francisco Javier Roman Bardares is hoped for his alleged involvement in the direction of MS-13 activities in the United States, Mexico and El Salvador. He is said to be a senior leader in MS-13. Salvador was published on September 22, 2022 in Rome bardale, the Eastern District of New York.
