Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday called on President Trump to see whether it violates a court order he opposed amid a flight deportation of Venezuelan immigrants.
Ingraham said the Trump administration's decision to carry out deportation flights despite the judge's order directing flights raised concerns from critics that the president violated a court order that he disliked.
“Well, number one, I don't think anyone has passed more courts than me. I don't think they know the courts better than me… And what they did to me – I had the worst judge.
“But will we go against the court orders from now on? We all know that,” Ingraham inserted.
“I did not violate the court's orders,” Trump said.
“And you won't do it in the future?” Ingraham asked.
“No, I can't do that,” Trump said. “But we have bad judges. We have very bad judges. These are judges that should not be allowed. At some point, I think you have to see what you do when there are fraudulent judges.”
Trump sought each of U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg on Tuesday. The administration said the flights at the time were already out of US territory, but suggested that Boasberg had no authority to intervene in the matter.
Boasberg is unlikely to get each ammo, as it requires a majority in the House and two-thirds of the Senate.
Still, anger over Boasberg's decision drew a rare public statement from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
“For over two centuries, it has been established that each is not an appropriate response to differences in opinion over judicial decisions. To that end, there is a normal appeal review process,” Roberts said.
