The man is recovering after torn his ears during an altercation that changed violence on a Florida beach during spring break.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office told Fox News Digital that 18-year-old Jack Turner was arrested and faced felony battery charges following the brawl that took place in Fort Myers Beach on St. Patrick's Day.
Officials said Monday that lawmakers patrolling the area in connection with the fight were flagged around 5pm.
The victim has not been identified, but he told deputies he was involved in a physical altercation and that part of his left ear was bitten.

Police reports obtained and reviewed by Fox News Digital show that bystanders shared footage of the brawl with deputies, claiming that Turner could be heard jumping from behind, calling out the victim's racial slander.
Deputies reviewed the video and saw the victim lying in the sand and saw Turner mounted his back and hit the victim behind his head with a fist.

The footage then showed Turner grabbing the victim with the hair on the back of his head and pressing it against the sand.
Turner then pulled up the victim's head and bit the victim's ear, appearing to cause “traumatic auditory bone cutting.”
Deputies also learned that the victim and Turner knew each other.

Turner was arrested for a felony battery charge and booked at the Lee County Jail. It was not immediately clear whether he had a lawyer.
The sheriff's office said the victim is currently undergoing treatment and is being seen by an injury expert.
A department spokesman shared a statement with Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marcheno and Fox News Digital.

“Sheriff Carmine Marseno has zero tolerance for all types of violence! Fort Myers Beach will continue to be safe for all Lee County visitors and residents!” the statement read.
The agency said additional lawmakers will patrol Fort Myers Beach in response to the brawl, “to ensure safety and security for everyone.”
