In part of an interview that took place Tuesday and aired on Wednesday's Fox News Channel's “Ingraham Angle,” President Donald Trump said the bad guys coming through the Gold Card Program are worried. But they are properly examined.
While discussing the Gold Card Plan, host Lowline Graham asked, “So I'm not worried about people who are uncomfortable coming in and taking it.”
Trump said, “Yeah, I'm worried about something uncomfortable. In that case, we'll pay them back the money and they'll leave.”
Ingraham followed up. “Are they properly vetted?”
“They'll be properly vetted, but I think when you're talking about a lot of people, it's going to be very successful. If someone's wrong, we're actually very great.”
In another part of the interview, Trump said, “In general, people who can pay $5 million will become employment producers, okay? They will succeed, they will create jobs.” And the companies can buy them and hire immigrants who have graduated at the pinnacle of America's best institutions.
