When Maryland Gov. 'Wes Moore (D) took the stage at the annual Gridron Club dinner on Saturday night, he made a curious comment about Democrats’ president ambitions.
"If I actually want to be president, I wouldn’t do this," Moore said. "Instead, I’ll take my case directly to those in charge of our democracy. The Kremlin."
Comments were made at a "non-burn" dinner where journalists interacted with lawmakers from both parties and reactions from Democrats.
Moore’s political outlook only gained the party’s steam in recent months, and Democrats were desperately trying to find someone to lead them out of the wilderness and save them.
