Denmark’s Mette Frederiksen echoes Trump admin with anti-migrant policies in Europe

Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredericksen says he agrees with recent comments from Vice President JD Vance that massive migration to Europe is a major issue.

Fredericksen commented during the interview Politico and It was released on Thursday and says it is important for Europe to start halting the flow of foreign immigration.

“I consider this massive migration to Europe a threat to everyday life in Europe,” Fredericksen said in a throwback to Vance's February 14 speech at the Munich Security Council in Germany.

Fredericksen has her managerial positions based on anti-immigration policies and backed up her rhetoric with policy. Denmark is currently confiscating valuables from immigrants to refund housing costs, and the country's “no ghetto” law ensures that immigrants do not have a massive focus, Politico reported.

“I fully believe in Scandinavian welfare model with equal opportunities and taxable education, social benefits and health care. But it's just one of the traditional pillars of being a social democrat,” she argued in politics.

“Controlling the transition is the second pillar,” she added.
